Violence between Israel and Palestinians ended Monday after a surprise visit from Secretary of State Joe Pesci and his
"crew." Although little is known about the closed door meeting between Pesci, Prime Minister Sharon and Chairman
Arafat, the meeting must have been a very violent one. After the meeting, both Sharon and Arafat were taken to the hospital
for treatement of broked kneecaps. "I don't know what happened," said Israeli spokesman Schlomo Stein. "Prime
Minister Sharon refused to discuss the meeting. Although, it is probably safe to assume that Chairman Arafat attacked Mr.
Sharon who, in turn, retaliated." Secretary Pesci was also tight lipped about the meeting. When asked to comment,
Pesci did nothing but hit the lens of a CNN reporter's camera with a baseball bat that he carried out of the room where he
Sharon and Arafat had been. Speaking for Pesci, Mario "The Calzone" Gambino said that Pesci had done much to convince
Sharon and Arafat to put aside their defferences. "Let's just say that he uhhhh "persuaded" them to do the
right thing."
