In a ceremony Tuesday morning, the president appointed his good friend and advisor Captain AWOL to the post of secretary of Homeland Security. Although Captain AWOL skipped the ceremony, he made remarks to assembled reporters via satalite. Captain AWOL expressed his desire to be at the ceremony, but said that he didn't feel like leaving his house. He did thank the president for the appointment, however. Captain AWOL takes office pending Senate approval of his appointment.
